Terms of use
This is a draft under legal review and may change before it is final.
Laeeto (لقيته) is a free community app operated by Softure UG (haftungsbeschränkt) that helps people in Egypt find medicines in short supply, with the help of volunteers ("Medicine Hunters") and verified pharmacies. By using the app you agree to these terms.
What Laeeto does
- It sends your medicine request to volunteers and verified pharmacies in your area and tells you where it was found.
- If nothing is found within 48 hours, it prepares an inquiry to the Egyptian Drug Authority (hotline 15301) for you to send yourself.
- We do not guarantee that a medicine will be found, that a given pharmacy has it, or that every report is accurate. A report means the medicine was available when it was checked; it may run out afterwards.
Nothing is bought or sold
- Nothing is bought or sold in the app: no user-set prices, no payments, no delivery, no handing over of medicine between users.
- Medicine is bought only at a licensed pharmacy, at the official price printed on the box, with the original prescription when the medicine requires one.
- Any offer to sell medicine, request for payment, or attempt to exchange phone numbers outside the app is a violation. Please report it in the app or to support@laeeto.app.
Not medical advice
- Laeeto is not a substitute for a doctor or pharmacist and gives no diagnosis or medical advice.
- If another strength or an alternative is available, do not change your medicine or dose before consulting your doctor or pharmacist.
- In an emergency, call an ambulance (123 in Egypt) or go to the nearest hospital.
Pharmacies
- Only licensed pharmacies whose licence we have reviewed get a pharmacist account and the "verified" badge.
- Pharmacists commit to answering truthfully, selling at the official price, and asking for a prescription where the law requires it.
- Pharmacies added by volunteers are shown without a verified badge until a licensed pharmacist registers them.
Volunteers (Medicine Hunters)
- Report only what you confirmed yourself with the pharmacy.
- Do not try to identify a patient or contact them outside the app.
- Community-service certificates count only requests the patient confirmed as received.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app for anything other than finding medicine, submit false information, abuse other people, get around the limits on urgent requests, or manipulate reports or certificates.
Suspension
We may suspend features or accounts, temporarily or permanently, for abuse or breaches of these terms, especially sale offers. If you think a suspension is a mistake, contact support@laeeto.app.
Your account and data
You can delete your account at any time (see Delete your account). We handle your data as described in the privacy policy.
Liability
The app is provided free of charge and as is. We work to keep it reliable, but reports come from volunteers and pharmacies, and we are not responsible for what happens at the pharmacy or for purchase or treatment decisions.
Changes
If we change these terms materially, we will tell you in the app before they take effect.
